The City of Roswell will reopen City Hall (38 Hill Street) and their facility at 1810 Hembree Road on Monday, June 15, 2020. Active Adults

We currently offer quality recreational opportunities for citizens age 50 and older. The Roswell Adult Recreation Center (ARC) is a 19,500 square-foot facility, offering a variety of programs and activities.

Adaptive Programs

Our Department offers a wide array of programming for people of all ages with illnesses, disabilities, and other conditions. We continue to develop and use leisure opportunities in ways that enhance their health, functional abilities, independence, and quality of life.


Our Department currently operates the following aquatic facilities:
  • Roswell Area Park (10495 Woodstock Road)
    A 50-meter Olympic-size pool with eight lap lanes, a diving well with two spring boards, and a children’s wading pool with a mushroom waterfall.
  • Roswell Adult Aquatics Center (200 Dobbs Drive)
    An indoor, heated therapeutic pool boasts five lap lanes, a zero-entry, a bench seat with therapy jets, contemporary locker rooms, and a large whirlpool.


We offer two premier spraygrounds that offer different varieties of spray features, concession stands, and pavilion rentals.
  • Riverside Sprayground (575 Riverside Road)
  • East Roswell Sprayground (9000 Fouts Road)

Culinary Program

Our Department offers a variety of culinary classes at the Arts Center on Fouts Road (9100 Fouts Road).


The hub of our gymnastic program is located at the Physical Activity Center located in Roswell Area Park (10495 Woodstock Road). This center offers a variety of gymnastic and performing art programs for children ages 1 – 18 years of age.


From the Nantahala Outdoor Center, 18-hole disc golf course, paddleboard programs, and the Roswell Alpharetta Mountain Bike Organization we have what you are looking need for outdoor programming.
  • Nantahala Outdoor Center (203 Azalea Drive)
    Nantahala Outdoor Center offers high-quality craft and equipment rentals for any number of river adventures including tubing, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, biking, and stand up paddleboarding. Whether you are looking for a relaxing float, an intense workout, or just to explore, this is the perfect spot to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the Chattahoochee River.
