Disney's worldwide phenomenon is taking Roswell by (snow)storm!

Frozen JR. is based on the 2018 Broadway musical, and brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life onstage. The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production.

A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, Frozen JR. expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between Princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood. With a cast of beloved characters and loaded with magic, adventure, and plenty of humor, Frozen JR. is sure to thaw even the coldest heart!

Roswell Youth Theatre offers performance opportunities for student actors and is under the direction of Artistic Director Leslie Kelley.



Tickets are $10 online and can be purchased at www.tututix.com/roswellyouththeatre. Tickets will also be available at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center one hour prior to the start of the show.

Roswell Youth Theatre Auditions for The Wizard of Oz

Audition Fee: $25 (cash, debit/credit card, or check made out to RYT)
Ages: 9-17



Dorothy and her friends tunefully trot down the yellow brick road in this clever retelling of The Wizard of Oz. After a tornado whisks her away to the magical land of Oz, young Dorothy Gale teams up with a Scarecrow, a Tin Woodsman and a Cowardly Lion to find the mighty Wizard of Oz, who can send her home. Along the way, they must avoid the clutches of the Wicked Witch of the West, who is trying to steal the mysterious magic slippers that once belonged to her evil sister... but are now on Dorothy's feet. Dorothy eventually learns just how magical friendship can be and how wonderful it can feel to go home again.

Roswell Youth Theatre offers performance opportunities for student actors and is under the direction of Artistic Director Leslie Kelley.

Please Prepare

  • 1 minute Broadway song, memorized. Bring sheet music or accompaniment track.
  • 1 minute monologue, memorized.
  • Wear comfortable clothes for dance audition. No dance experience required.

Rehearsals

  • Begin in late January 2020
  • Monday, Wednewsday, and Thursday 5:30 - 7:30 PM
  • Not everyone will be needed each day
  • Rehearsal schedule will be provided

Performances

  • Saturday, April 25, 2020, 2:00 & 7:00 PM
