Current Approved Millage Rate

Millage rates are the tax rates used to calculate local property taxes. The rate represents the amount per every $1,000 of a property's assessed value.

Roswell City Council adopted a millage rate of 4.955 mills for FY2020 at their meeting on August 12, 2019.

Homestead Exemptions
To qualify for homestead exemption, you must be age 65 or older and own and occupy the property as your fulltime residence on January 1 of the tax year for which you are applying. Roswell homestead exemptions can be applied for between January 1 and June 1 of the tax year. You may apply in person at Roswell City Hall, Suite 210, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Homestead exemption applications can also be submitted by mail, but must be notarized and include a copy of your picture ID showing your birthdate.
