The City of Roswell is currently accepting applications for their new Special Events Committee. The committee will formulate how the City can bring events that support and encourage economic impact and tourism, while continuing to support the success and improvement of already-established events in the City of Roswell.

To be considered for this committee, applicants must be a Roswell resident, business owner or manager, or a City of Roswell employee and/or affiliate with the City of Roswell. Approval of members will be determined by the Deputy City Administrator; the Director of the Recreation, Parks, Historic and Cultural Affairs Department; the Director of the Community Development Department; a member of Roswell Inc; and the City's Special Events Manager.

Committee members must be able to attend at least one meeting per month at City Hall, and be willing to work respectfully and collaboratively on behalf of the needs and interests of the Roswell community.

Applicant Criteria

  • Applicants must be a Roswell resident, business owner or manager, or a City of Roswell employee and/or affiliate with the City of Roswell to be considered for this committee.
  • Must be able to attend at least one meeting per month at City Hall, lasting no longer than one hour. Date and time of monthly meetings to be determined by the committee.
  • Must attend and be on time to all committee meetings, unless the committee member gives prior notice of absence to Christine Ward, Special Events Manager.
  • Must be willing to work on behalf of the needs and interests of the Roswell community and businesses.
  • Must respect all committee members and be open to new ideas and suggestions.
