Every year, thousands of people flock to downtown Roswell to experience what’s become one of the City's premier events, Alive in Roswell. This energizing street festival offers unique opportunities for merchants and vendors to showcase their businesses and services and their commitment to the community.

Alive in Roswell is a free family friendly monthly festival held every 3rd Thursday evening (5:00 - 9:00 PM) from April through October. The festival is held concurrently on Historic Canton Street, East Alley, at Historic Roswell Town Square, and at the Interactive Zone on the grounds of City Hall. Free regular trolley service connects the venues.

The festival features live bands, food trucks, hundreds of interactive vendors, kids' games and entertainment, and enjoys participation from the many boutiques, small businesses and restaurants surrounding the venues.

Hosted by the City of Roswell and made possible by presenting sponsors Gate City Brewing Company and Carl Black Buick GMC, this energizing festival offers unique opportunities for sponsors to highlight their businesses and their commitment to the community to thousands of residents and visitors.

Road Closures
Please be aware of the following road closures that take place on the day of the event for set up.

The portion of Historic Canton Street from HWY 9/Magnolia Street to Norcross Street closes to vehicular traffic beginning at 5:30 PM.

Road closures that occur around each venue location for vendors to set up:
  • East Alley Parking Lot - 6:00 AM
  • Park Square Court - 2:00 PM
  • Elizabeth Way - 2:00 PM
  • East Alley - 3:00 PM
  • Webb Street - 3:30 PM
 



Locations
Vendors, live music, food, beverages and restrooms are available at each venue location.
  • Canton Street
    Historic Canton Street is closed to vehicular traffic from Hwy 9 to Norcross Street, creating a space unlike all the rest. Vendors set up along Canton Street and Elizabeth Way showcasing their business and providing interactive opportunities. Musical performances take place within the Heart of Roswell Park. Beverage sponsorship, Top Job Hospitality, sets up in a number of locations throughout the venue where beer, wine and water is available for purchase. Surround Canton St. Restaurants and merchants are open for event. Please visit their websites for more information on festivities taking place at their establishments.
  • East Alley
    Debuting last year as Alive in Roswell’s newest venue, after undergoing a much needed improvement plan, the East Alley is located just off Canton Street. This venue has a mix of local artists, merchants, non-profit organizations and a handful of Roswell Restaurants. The Artisan Market is a perfect place to wander off the beaten path, providing an alternative setting from the ever-popular Canton St.
  • Historic Town Square
    Located a quick trolley ride South of Canton St. is a picturesque setting in Roswell’s Historic Town Square. Musical performances take place in the historic bandstand, grassy areas and great old trees provide shade for the little ones to explore. This location is perfect for those looking to sit back and make lasting memories with family and friends. Local vendors and merchants set up showcasing their business providing interactive and fun opportunities to patrons. Inflatables, face painting and balloon artists are a few of the many fun activities for children! Park Square Court is closed to vehicular traffic, where food trucks and the beverage tent are set up for patrons to purchase food and drinks.
  • Interactive Zone
    Backing up to busy Atlanta Street (Hwy 9) , nestled among the trees on the beautiful grounds of City Hall is the Interactive Zone. The perfect space for health and wellness focused vendors to set up and showcase their business with interactive activities for all ages. Musical performances take place near the Faces of War Memorial. Inflatables, face painting and balloon artists are among the many activities for children in this venue.
 



Parking
There are a number of parking lots spread out around each of the locations.

The City Hall parking lot, 38 Hill Street, is the perfect location to park. A trolley stop is located here to take you to each location. This lot provides the closest walking proximity to Interactive Zone, Canton St. and East Alley venues.

Green Street parking lot, located at 1056 Green Street, right behind Roswell Fire Station #1, provides more than 80 spots.

There are a handful of private party paid parking lots located around Canton Street, including Magnolia lot, Wells Fargo Bank parking lot, and Historic Antiques and Interiors lot.

Street parking is available first-come, first-serve along Mimosa Blvd. and in a few of the local church parking lots along Mimosa Blvd.
 



Trolley
There is a free trolley service that runs throughout the event, taking patrons to each venue location.

The best way to get around for Alive in Roswell is to park at Roswell City Hall, 38 Hill Street, and take the trolley.
