Overview
The Records and Permits Units of the Roswell Police Department’s Support Services Division are responsible for providing a variety of essential services and issuing permits for regulated business activities.
Services provided include:
- Accident reports
- Alcohol pouring/handling permits
- Arrest record restrictions (expungements)
- Criminal history reports
- Demonstration permits

Fee: $50 per year
Required Documents:
- United States Citizens: Applicants must provide a valid government issued photo ID to establish their identity.
- Non-Citizens: Applicants must provide a valid government issued photo ID to establish their identity and proof that they are authorized to work in the United States.
Application Process:
- Complete and submit an Alcohol Pouring/Handling Permit Application.
- Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email with a link and instructions to schedule an appointment.
- Payment, a picture, and fingerprints will take place during your appointment.

Accident Reports Process:
- Vehicular accident reports are available for a fee of $5 and can be obtained through the Police2Citizen website using the "Accident Report Search".
- All reports involving a minor under the Age of 18 will not appear on the Police2Citizen Website. If your report does not appear, please email policerecords@roswellgov.com to request a copy of the report.
Arrest record expungements are for arrests prior to July 1, 2013.

Required Documents:
- A valid government issued photo ID is required to establish your identity.
- A case disposition from the court is required.
Application Process:
- Complete and submit an Arrest Record Expungement Request.
- Call Roswell Police Records at (770) 640-4100 to start the expungement process once your request has been submitted.

Required Documents:
- A valid government issued photo ID is required to establish your identity.
Application Process:
- Complete and submit an Criminal History Release Form.
- The applicant will receive notification by email or phone once the Criminal History Report(s) are available for pick up, normally 2 business days after submission.
- Once available, Criminal History Report(s) can be picked up from Police Records between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Payment will take place when the Criminal History Release is picked up.
- Criminal History Releases must be picked up within 30 days.
The demonstrator must have a valid photo ID.

- Complete and submit an Demonstration Permit Application.
- You will be notified once the application is processed.

- Payment and fingerprints will take place during your appointment.
Limitations:
- There is a limit of 4 cards per person, per appointment. If more are needed, please schedule multiple appointments.

Local Records Checks are completed by email or in person at no charge.
Single Incident
To obtain a copy of a single incident report, email us at policerecords@roswellgov.com.
- Please include the case number, if available.
- We will respond within 3 business days.

Incident Search by Location
The Police2Citizen website can be used to search for incident records surrounding a known address or business location within a specified date range using the "Event Search".
Massage Establishment License Process:
- Please email all requests or questions to massage@roswellgov.com.
- Questionnaire will be provided to determine the application process.
Fee: $50 per 6 month period

- All Applicants: All applicants must provide a copy of their current business license.
- United States Citizens: Applicants must provide a valid government issued photo ID to establish their identity.
- Non-Citizens: Applicants must provide a valid government issued photo ID to establish their identity and proof that they are authorized to work in the United States.

- Complete and submit an Solicitor Permit Application.
- Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email with a link and instructions to schedule an appointment.
- Payment, a picture, and fingerprints will take place during your appointment.

- A hunter's safety certificate is required.

- Complete and submit a Weapon Discharge Permit Application.
- You will receive a weapon discharge card by email once the application is processed.
Important: If you already have a State of Georgia Massage Therapist License, you are not required to get a work permit.
