Join the Citizens’ Police Academy
The Roswell Police Department invites residents of Roswell, along with Roswell business owners, to attend the Citizens’ Police Academy (CPA). This free program is designed to introduce members of the public to various functions of police work.
Classes will be held at Roswell Public Safety Headquarters and at the Roswell-Alpharetta Public Safety Training Center (RAPSTC)
Please complete the application and the Criminal History Release form. Return each of these, with a photo of your state-issued identification, via an email to Officer Cabral.
Eligible applicants are Roswell residents (18 years or older) or Roswell business owners. A limited number of seats are available. The roster will be filled based on the order in which the completed applications are received.

The Citizens’ Police Academy is part of the community policing efforts of the Roswell Police Department. We urge you, the members of our community, to participate and learn about your Police Department, its mission, and the men and women serving you in your community daily.
Each week the class focuses on a specific division of the Police Department, giving students an overview of the Department’s duties and responsibilities. Some of the Divisions covered are:
- 911 Center
- Criminal Investigations Division
- K-9 Operations
- The Office of Professional Standards
- Special Operations Unit
- SWAT
- Traffic Enforcement Unit
- Uniform Patrol Division
The program is free to Roswell residents and Roswell business owners 18 years of age or older.
