Roswell's part-time staff will be able to continue working for RFD while this gradual transition takes place, and former Fire Chief Joe Pennino says he hopes many of RFD's part-time staff members will consider joining Roswell full-time.
"The 21 full-time captains that were hired in the fall of 2022 will have an incredible opportunity to help lead the Roswell Fire Department through the next chapter of its already rich history," said Chief Pennino.
"Fortunately, 12 of them were already current or former Roswell Fire Department team members. We value our current team of skilled professionals and are hopeful that many will consider joining the Roswell Fire Department in a full-time capacity, in continued service to our community."
