While we planned on holding the 9th Annual Lavender Festival today rain or shine, the current weather conditions pose a safety issue and the event must now be cancelled. Stay indoors and stay safe, Roswell!


Join us for the 9th Annual Roswell Lavender Festival, inspired by Barrington Hall's own lavender queen, Evelyn Simpson, a descendant of Barrington King. The festival is a celebration of all things lavender and highlights the many varieties, uses, and folk remedies associated with this ancient plant. The festival activities include shopping, eating, lavender and plant demonstrations, live music, children's activities, crafts, yoga & meditation, and a return to the Enchanted Fairy Hollow to craft your own fairy house.

Parking

Parking is free of charge at Roswell City Hall and Roswell Presbyterian Church with complimentary trolley service to Barrington Hall. Look for directional signage on the street, balloons, and tent shelter for the trolley stop pick-up locations. Roswell City Hall pick-up will be found at the main stair entrance. Trolleys will run on an approximate 15-20 minute loop between stop locations and Barrington Hall. Limited ADA and handicap parking is available at the back parking lot of Barrington Hall.

Class and Demonstration Schedule

Located in the gray barn on the grounds of Barrington Hall. These workshops are approximately 1 hour and require a $5 participation fee. Please sign up at the Welcome Tent upon arrival at the festival. The spots fill quickly so get your ticket asap!

• 10:30-11:30: Make Your Own Lavender Wand
• 12:00-1:00: A French Cooking Demonstration with Alliance Francaise (this will include a take-home bouquet garni of Herbs de Provence)
• 1:30-2:30: Make Your Own Lavender Wand
• 3:00-4:00: Bouquet in a Teacup

Children's Activities

Located on the front lawn of Barrington Hall - Free

• 10:30-3:30 (on the half hour): Storytelling with the Lavender Fairy
• 11:00-3:00 (on the half hour): Music with Mr. Tony
• 11:00-2:30: Children's Crafts

Enchanted Fairy Hollow

Located at the southeast corner of Barrington's backyard - Free

• 11:00-2:30 (continuous activity): Build a fairy house - We will supply the materials - For the young and the young at heart
