Backstage and Other Stories: Confessions of a Broadway Star
Saturday, October 13, 2018, 8 PM
Terry Burrell is a hugely accomplished Broadway musical actress who now resides in Roswell and continues to perform for Atlanta's top theatre companies and others around the United States. Her vast Broadway credits include starring roles in major productions of Thoroughly Modern Millie, Dreamgirls, Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods, Eubie, and Swinging on a Star. She also starred as Julie in the first London production of Showboat. Backstage and Other Stories is Terry's newest solo concert, and in this delightful evening of memories and melodies, Terry spills the beans and then some! This rare and candid glimpse of life as a performer on the Great White Way will include special vocal arrangements from Terry's illustrious career—songs that hold special meaning for Terry as well as tributes to the legendary chanteuses who inspired her—from Lena Horne and Barbra Streisand to Ethel Waters, Eartha Kitt and Judy Garland.

Live! in Roswell Series presents Ranky Tanky
Saturday, February 16, 2019, 8 PM
Ranky Tanky released their eponymous debut in October 2017, and it promptly soared to the #1 positions on the Billboard, iTunes, and Amazon Jazz charts, earning the group high profile interviews on shows such as NPR's Fresh Air with Terry Gross. Translated loosely as "Get Funky," Ranky Tanky performs their interpretation of the timeless music of the Gullah culture—from playful game songs to heartbreaking spirituals and delicate lullabies—updated with gospel vocals, jazz trumpet solos, and an R&B rhythm section. Reviewing their performance at GlobalFEST, Paste Magazine said Ranky Tanky "proved that exotic music can be both unfamiliar enough to be surprising, and yet familiar enough to provoke swinging hips and nodding heads. When it works, it's the best of both worlds." Ranky Tanky's one-of-a-kind performance is not to be missed!

Balsam Range with The Atlanta Pops Ensemble
Saturday, June 8, 2019, 8 PM
Balsam Range has become one of the bluegrass genre's most award-winning acts in recent years, garnering 10 International Bluegrass Media Association Awards on the heels of six critically-acclaimed albums. The group has left audiences spellbound while headlining major festivals from coast to coast, selling out venues across the nation and in multiple appearances at the Grand Ole Opry. In 2018, Balsam Range embarked on a collaboration with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra Ensemble to create Mountain Overture, an album that takes the band's most-loved songs and elevates them, pulling together the rustic and symphonic for a profound effect.
