Did you know that every weekday is Bulky Trash Amnesty Day in Roswell for Roswell residents?

Roswell residents can dispose of unwanted items that meet Bulky Trash Amnesty Day requirements Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at the Roswell Transfer Station at 1810 Hembree Road.

Please note that the dumpster usually fills up on Monday afternoon, so come early on Monday or Tuesday through Friday. Items will not be accepted if the dumpster on site is full. Proof of residency is required. For more information, or to confirm the dumpster is not full, please contact Nick Pezzello at npezzello@roswellgov.com or 770-641-3961.

Please note this event is not at the Roswell Recycling Center. Click here for directions to the Roswell Transfer Station. The gates will close promptly at noon, so please arrive early.


Some of the items that will be accepted are:

  • Furniture (couches, desks, tables, chairs, etc.)
  • Children's toys, plastic play sets
  • Plastic garbage containers
  • Mattresses and box springs
  • Console TV's
  • Projection TV's

We cannot accept the following items:

  • Metal (no lawnmowers, appliances, etc.)*
  • Paint*
  • Household batteries*
  • Tires*
  • Cardboard*
  • Electronics*
  • Construction and demolition debris (concrete, pallets, tile, wood {decking, flooring, lumber, etc.)
  • Hazardous waste (gasoline, lighter fluid, gasoline, anti-freeze, propane tanks, pesticides, etc.)
  • Yard Waste (mulch, rocks, sand, etc.)

    *many of these items can be recycled at the Roswell Recycling Center
