Roswell PD Accepting Citizens' Police Academy Applications

The Fall 2020 session in now full.

The Roswell Police Department would like to invite the Residents of Roswell, along with Roswell Business Owners, to attend the Citizens' Police Academy. This free program is designed to introduce members of the public to various functions of police work.

During the 10-week academy, participants will become familiar with the aspects of the Roswell Police Department. Students will receive first-hand knowledge of police operations, K9 unit, SWAT team, D.U.I. enforcement, 911 Communications Center, and how criminal cases are investigated.

We are now accepting applications. The Academy will begin on Tuesday, August 18, 2020. It will be held every Tuesday from 6:30 PM until 9:30 PM. The first Academy class will be held at the Roswell Police Department, located at 39 Hill Street, Roswell, GA 30075.

Upon completion of the course, participants will take part in a graduation ceremony to be held on October 21, 2020.

Applications for the Fall 2020 session of the Citizens' Police Academy are now being accepted. Class spacing is limited and applications will be processed in the order that they are received. Class spacing and safety measures will be in compliance with current City of Roswell coronavirus response guidelines.

Applicants must be 21 years or older, pass a background check, and must be a Roswell resident or business owner. Applications are available at the Roswell Police Department, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, or online at
