Roswell City Council Approve Land Purchase

Post Date:10/16/2019 9:00 AM

On Tuesday, October 15, 2019 the Roswell City Council approved the purchase of the final parcel of the Seven Branches Property. The property currently boasts 50 acres of undeveloped land, some of which was donated as a charitable contribution. The acquisition of this final parcel of land will expand the property by over 2 acres.

Mayor Lori Henry explains the completion of the acquisition of the Seven Branches Property preserves the undeveloped land for future uses. "This project is important because at the heart of every Roswell citizen is the desire for preservation of green space and trees," Henry states. "This significant acquisition preserves the natural beauty of Seven Branches for future generations. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in this acquisition; it was truly a team effort."

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

To celebrate the completion of the acquisition of the Seven Branches Property, located along Holcomb Bridge Road near East Roswell Park, Roswell Mayor and Council invite the public to join them on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 10 a.m. for the official ribbon cutting ceremony. This event is free and open to the public. The parking for the event will be located at the East Roswell Park entrance off Eves Road. Shuttle will be provided to the ribbon-cutting site. Footwear appropriate for use on undeveloped land is recommended. Local media is encouraged to attend to document this historic acquisition that will become part of Roswell’s conservation legacy.
