Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan

Post Date:04/30/2019
The City of Roswell has set the wheels in motion on its first-ever Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan. You can help the City envision the future of bicycle and pedestrian connectivity in Roswell at two upcoming Public Open Houses.

Members of the public are invited to stop by these drop-in information sessions at any time to provide input on where and how future bicycle and pedestrian investments can be made, help set goals, and learn more about the planning process. City staff will be on hand during these open house–style events to answer questions, provide information, and collect feedback.

Through its Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan process, the City will evaluate its policies and practices, identify and prioritize bicycle and pedestrian investments, and develop a fiscally realistic implementation strategy. The master planning process will go through three distinct phases, each including public input and engagement:

• A data-gathering phase to establish existing conditions
• An assessment phase to establish bicycle and pedestrian needs
• A recommendations phase to establish policies and infrastructure investments for the City’s consideration and develop a guide for implementation.

A final Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.

If you cannot make it to one of the Public Open House events, we invite you to take an online survey at www.roswellgov.com/BikePedSurvey.
