Roswell Touch a Truck to Kick Off National Public Works Week in May

Post Date:04/19/2019
The City of Roswell is kicking off National Public Works Week May 19 - 25, with Touch a Truck at City Hall, May 18, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. This free event will feature trucks from Environmental/Public Works, Transportation, Fire and Police.

Touch a Truck allows citizens of all ages a first-hand look at the equipment used to provide necessary services to Roswell’s families. Kids and adults alike can explore the mysterious workings of the street sweeper or watch up close just how the sanitation truck works. There will be something for everyone to learn at this event.

National Public Works Week celebrates the vital role public works plays in connecting us all together. As the cornerstone of civilization, public works provides, maintains, and improves the structures and services that assure a higher quality of life for our communities. Its streets, roads, bridges, and public transportation keep us linked together from coast to coast, and its clean water and sanitation services keep us healthy and allow our communities to grow and prosper.
