Roswell Night of Lights Lantern Parade Will Wind Its Way Through Roswell on April 27

Post Date:03/15/2019 1:00 PM

Join Keep Roswell Beautiful at Riverside Park on April 27 for Roswell’s first Earth Month celebration! This free, family-friendly event is meant to be educational, inspiring, and inclusive as we celebrate the natural world.

The evening will begin with a variety of educational vendors demonstrating with hands-on activities just how easy and fun it can be to protect our natural resources. Several speakers from faith communities in Roswell will then lead us in giving thanks to the air, land, and water that sustain us. At twilight, please join us in our first annual lantern parade! Everyone is welcome to participate; we ask that you bring something that glows, twinkles, or shines! (Please, no fire or flames!). The parade route runs from Riverside Park to Don White Park and back (about a mile round trip).

We encourage you to create your lantern out of natural or reused/recycled materials. Or, join us at one of our spring lantern building workshops and bring your creation with you to the parade! For a list of workshop dates and details, visit www.keeproswellbeautiful.org/earth-day/.
