This exhibit will open during the February First Friday Art Walk and will showcase the works of three award-winning African American female artists - Lillian Blades, Eleanor Neal and Charlotte Riley Webb. Lillian, a native of the Bahamas, is best known for her multilayered 3D work that focuses on abstracted images of womanhood, the sea and memories. Eleanor Neal, a native of Indiana, incorporates natural elements (bees wax, moss, paper) to construct intricate and seemingly delicate works. Charlotte Riley Webb, a native Atlantan, uses a vibrant color palette to create portrayals of graceful and strong females.
