Ongoing Water Projects:

Storm Drain Markings

Do you know where that storm drain leads?  Many people don’t, so help educate local residents by gluing a sign that reads “Do Polluting, Leads to Streams” on storm drains.  The educate the area by hanging an informational piece on the doorknobs of local homes.  Kids always enjoy this project and you are helping to make a great difference in Roswell!

Adopt-A-Stream

The City of Roswell offers training and materials on how to conduct visual assessments, biological sampling, and chemical monitoring.  We encourage educators to incorporate AAS in their classroom programs.  Call or email Laura Aikens for more information: 770-641-3742 or laikens@roswellgov.com

Project WET

The goal of Project WET is to facilitate and promote awareness, appreciation, knowledge, and stewardship of water resources through the development and dissemination of classroom-ready teaching aids and through the establishment of state and internationally sponsored Project WET programs.  The City of Roswell coordinates workshops for formal and non-formal educators of K-12th grade students. Educators receive the Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide, over 90 activities "by and for educators" as part of the workshop.  Call or email Laura Aikens for more information: 770-641-3742 or laikens@roswellgov.com
