Roswell's Transportation Department maintains the transportation system and related services that support and enhance the movement of vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle traffic throughout the city. The department is responsible for the design, contracting and construction of major road improvements; maintaining 360 lane miles of roads; installing, operating and maintaining 100 traffic signals, maintaining traffic signs and pavement markings; maintaining the City's right-of-ways; and responding to emergencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
