Judge Maurice H. Hilliard, Jr., is a 25-year veteran of the Roswell Municipal Court bench and is one of the most veteran judicial figures in Georgia. After practicing law in Roswell for 19 years, Judge Hilliard was named as Solicitor for the City of Roswell in 1979 and elected to his current post in 1980.

In addition to his duties on the Roswell bench, Judge Hilliard has been a Pro Hac Judge of State Courts in Fulton, Forsyth, and Cherokee Counties since 1983 and has sat in Superior Courts of Fannin, Gilmer, Pickens, and Dawson Counties.
