I support the proposed funding for the fitness center improvements at the Adult Recreation Center. This is a very nice facility serving the leisure needs of Roswell’s senior population, but nothing is more important for seniors than maintaining fitness, and current facilities are taxed while the population is growing. Physical fitness reduces impacts on emergency and health networks, improves quality of life generally, but private fitness centers are often financially out of reach financially for those on fixed incomes. This expansion is needed.
