The Planning and Zoning Division is responsible for current and long-range planning activities which guide the orderly growth and development of Roswell.

These planning activities are performed through implementation of the Zoning Ordinance, which includes code enforcement, along with shaping growth and redevelopment to meet the City’s Comprehensive Plan.

This Division prepares and presents recommendations that ensure compliance with the Zoning Ordinance and the Comprehensive Plan in partnership with various boards and commissions to achieve a livable city while balancing the needs of residents and businesses.
