The presence of a public notice sign on a piece of property means the owner is currently applying for permission to develop the property in a way that requires a change in zoning, use or variance to development standards. Public notices are also issued for any demolition of a historic structure in the Historic District. Request: Text amendment to Article 12.6, Soil Erosion, Sedimentation and Pollution Control of the Unified Development Code (UDC). The same amendments will be made to the corresponding section of the Roswell Code of Ordinances. In 2015, the Georgia Erosion and Sediment Control Act (E&S Act) was revised. As a Local Issuing Authority (LIA), the City of Roswell is required to revise the City’s Soil Erosion, Sedimentation and Pollution Control Ordinance to comply with the revised E&S Act. These UDC text amendments are required to bring the City’s Soil Erosion, Sedimentation and Pollution Control Ordinance into compliance with the E&S Act revisions.
