Comments Sought on City of Roswell 2017 Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Local Solicitation

City of Roswell residents are invited to comment on a 2017 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) application. Grant funds may be used for state and local initiatives, technical assistance, training personnel, equipment, supplies, contractual support, information systems for criminal justice, and criminal justice-related research and evaluation activities that will improve or enhance Law Enforcement programs.

If awarded, this $10,899 grant will be used to purchase a compact security patrol vehicle which will provide a low cost alternative to a full-size police cruiser. The vehicle will enable the City Hall patrol officers to traverse the municipal complex, the employee health and wellness center, Canton Street, and the proposed City Green in a visible, fuel-efficient manner that allows them to more freely interact with citizens and visitors.

The deadline to submit comments on the proposed project is Friday, September 22, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. Details of this grant application are available by selecting the link below.
