Tax Increase Explanation

Your total property tax rate, or millage rate, will remain the same as last year at 5.455. The city has paid off a portion of its bonded debt, which reduced its annual debt payments. Because of this, the portion of your millage rate that went toward paying debt will now pay for City maintenance and operations.
